Commercial Vehicles
In the Commercial Vehicles business, MAN is one of the leading suppliers to the international automotive industry and offers customer-driven products and services throughout the world. MAN Truck & Bus is currently expanding from its core market of Western Europe to the growth markets of Eastern Europe and Asia. As Brazil's market leader, MAN Latin America has an extensive sales and service network in emerging Latin American markets. With these two companies, the MAN Group has the competence to successfully meet the needs of premium markets as well as emerging nations by providing both with customized products. MAN's equity investment in Sinotruk, China's market leader for heavy trucks, also enables development of a lasting presence in China, the world's largest and fastest-growing commercial vehicles market.
Power Engineering
Power Engineering is MAN's second strategic business and represents an adequate counterweight to the commercial vehicles business. MAN Diesel is the world's leading supplier of large-bore diesel engines for ships and power plants; MAN Turbo specializes in the development and construction of compressors, gas and steam turbines. The merger of these two areas will enable MAN to offer its customers product packages such as turnkey DCC (Diesel Combined Cycle) power plants or waste heat recovery systems for maritime use.
This unit will be complemented by Renk, a globally recognized manufacturer of high-quality special gears.
